Sale of homes priced at 1 euro has started in France

Those wishing to acquire their own housing in France can now do it for only 1 euro. Investors have access to houses in the commune of Roubaix, as well as building areas in Champs-du-Boulle (where you can buy 1 square meter for 1 euro).

For residents of Europe such offers are not a novelty because for a long period of time similar purchase conditions have been offered in Sicily (Italy). In Sicily, some investors have already taken advantage of this offer.

Terms and conditions of purchase

Similar offers to buy and sell a home are subject to certain conditions that must be met. These include the following:

• only abandoned houses and land plots can be purchased;
• it is mandatory to rebuild them and/or make repairs (build a house on the land plot);
• there is an opportunity to sell finished housing within 5 years after purchasing it.

Such programs are aimed at attracting permanent residents to areas where population density is rather low.
