What is the danger of lifting the moratorium on the eviction of debtors in the United States?

Last week, by decision of the US Supreme Court, the moratorium on the eviction of citizens unable to pay for rent was not extended. At the same time, the financial assistance promised from the state is paid to them very slowly, which is why they cannot pay the amount that they own to the owners of properties. The opinions of experts on this issue turned out to be very different:

• some believe that such an approach will slow down the country's economic recovery after the pandemic;
• others are confident that this will stimulate the employment of more people, which will have a beneficial effect on the development of the economy and other industries.

Nowadays the US economy is recovering at a fairly rapid pace. However, due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections, the projections are not as positive as before. Therefore it is still impossible to say unequivocally how the lifting of the moratorium will affect the country's economic development.
